Entering the Perfect Smile Contest seemed like a very fun thing to do and also got Shannon more involved with her orthodontic treatment.  One of the things she likes best about Sylvania & Lambertville Orthodontics is all the contests and activities, so winning the biggest contest of all was a real blast.  The genuine smiles and kindness from the staff and doctors made appointments definitely more enjoyable, too.

Shannon’s favorite class as a junior in high school is anatomy.  She is hoping to go into the medical field in college and move down south.  Her long range plans include career, marriage and children, and definitely living on the beach!  During her spare time, she makes “cool cash” by working at an ice cream shop.

Sports are a big part of her school experience, and she loves the bonds that are formed with team mates.  She’s enjoys being on her school’s Dance Team and also playing Varsity Tennis.  Winning the City Championship with her double’s partner was a real highlight as it helped propel her team to the top spot.  Shannon’s love of sports carries through on her movie choice, Remember the Titans, too.  Having brothers involved with football sparked her interest in the movie, but watching it many times is what enabled her to remember every line of dialogue!

Shannon wants to reassure anyone contemplating braces to just go for it because it’s worth it.  She feels they really aren’t that bad and they definitely pay off -- in her case, they LITERALLY paid off.  She has really enjoyed listening to her favorite country stars like Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood on the Ipod she won as #1 vote receiver in the category Girls in Retention.
