Alicia Czarnik Orthodontic Assistant Alicia has worked in the dental field since 1998 and transitioned to orthodontics in 2005, when she joined Sylvania & Lambertville Orthodontics. Alicia enjoys being a member of our team, and part of such a wonderful “orthodontic family.” Working with the patients is Alicia’s favorite thing about orthodontics. She loves getting to know each patient, and the families who come to our practice, and building lasting friendships with each person she meets. A native of Petersburg, MI, she currently resides in Temperance, MI with her husband, Scott, daughter, Elyse, and son, Braylon. In her spare time, Alicia loves scrapbooking! |

Andrea Sumner Registered Dental Hygienist, EFDA/Orthodontic Assistant Andrea has been in the orthodontic field since 1996. She joined Sylvania & Lambertville Orthodontics in 1999 where she assists the doctors and handles patient care. Andrea likes the surprise that comes with each new day in the orthodontic office. It's always fun and never routine. The people are diverse, and the team is very easy to work with. She is very proud to be working for the best orthodontists in town! Andrea lives with her husband, and their daughters, in Toledo, OH. When not working, she has fun shopping, reading, working out, and spending time with her family and friends. |

Dawn Buczkowski Certified Dental Assistant, EFDA/Orthodontic Assistant Dawn has been active in the dental field for over thirteen years. Since 2004 she has been proud to be a vital team member in one of the area's top orthodontic practices. Dawn would also be quick to point out that orthodontics is for everyone, both children and adults, and loves seeing the results achieved for their patients. This makes work exciting and is something she believes we should all smile about. Dawn and her husband, Mike, have four sons: Austin, Corey, Evan, and Joshua. Dawn's hobbies are her four boys, which she jokingly expresses to be more than enough. They live in Toldeo, OH. |

Jennie Cairo Clinical Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant Jennie oversees the flow of the clinic and assists the doctors with patients. She has been in the dental field since 1993, and orthodontics since 2002. Jennie’s favorite thing about Sylvania & Lambertville Orthodontics is that the office is the best place to be and work, which she praises Drs. Simon, Haerian, and Ludwig for making happen. She loves seeing the awesome results achieved for their patients’ smiles. Jennie is from Blissfield, MI where she lives with her husband, Brian, and daughters, Hannah and Keelie. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and bowling. |

Joyce Neumann Diagnostic Records Technician Joyce loves helping create beautiful smiles for their patients. She works as an assistant and does all the clinical ordering. She's been in the orthodontic industry since 1969 and joined Sylvania & Lambertville Orthodontics in 1994. Working with her hands and making orthodontics a positive experience for everyone is important to Joyce. She's glad to be working with a team that's always changing and looking for the most advanced techniques. Joyce is very crafty, and enjoys knitting, crocheting, gardening, computer games, and scrapbooking.. She has a wonderful husband, two great sons, two beautiful granddaughters and three handsome grandsons. |

Lashonda Jones Registered Dental Hygienist/Orthodontic Assistant Lashonda joined the orthodontic industry and Sylvania & Lambertville Orthodontics in 2002. She handles patient care, wire changes, seating, and explains the appliances to patients. Working with the patients is her favorite part of her job. Lashonda enjoys shopping, swimming and spending time with family. |

Nikki Leupp Certified Dental Assistant, EFDA/Orthodontic Assistant Nikki's orthodontic patient care experience started in 1994. She has been with the team here since 2001. Nikki thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves that they are always busy. Her favorite thing about her job is delivering the best care to all their patients. She's also very proud of their high-tech office and loves that they are always on top of the newest technology. Nikki is a native of Archbold, OH who now lives in Lyons, OH. She loves boating, golfing, and skiing. |

Sarah Bernard Registered Dental Hygienist, EFDA/Orthodontic Assistant Sarah started in orthodontics when she joined Sylvania & Lambertville Orthodontics in May 2005. Always learning something new, she has a great time working with the talented team and friendly patients. Sarah's favorite thing about orthodontics is seeing the end results from the great work of the doctors. Shopping, relaxing, and hanging out with friends, including her husband, Brent, are some of Sarah's favorite free-time activities. She is a native of Toledo, OH where she still lives. |

Sarah Itoney Orthodontic Assistant Sarah has been in the orthodontic field for over ten years and in November, 2007, she joined our staff. She loves how the high-tech side of the office is balanced with fun and lots of activity. Although she originates from Point Place, OH, Sarah, her husband, Matt, and six year old son, Dylan, now call Lambertville, MI home. Boating is her favorite summer activity, while shopping is enjoyed year round. Much of her and her husband's free time this year has been spent building a new home. |

Terrie Henman Orthodontic Assistant Terrie joined the team in February, 2007 as an orthodontic assistant with five years of previous orthodontic training. She was recently home in Lambertville, Michigan on maternity leave as she, Chad, and their seven-year-old daughter, Ali, welcomed Isaac into the family. She’s been happy to return to her “ortho family”, too, where she enjoys spending her work hours with fun, friendly co-workers. When she’s able to find a few minutes of free time, she enjoys scrapbooking. |

Terri Wonell Sterilization Assistant Terri sterilizes instruments, helps assistants, and develops x-rays. She started in orthodontics in 2000, which is also when she joined the team here. Don’t ask Terri what her favorite thing is about her job because she’ll tell you she loves everything about it! She’s particularly excited to see how the practice evolves over time and is impressed by the state-of-the-art work of the doctors. Terri is from Toldeo, OH and now lives in Sylvania, OH. She and her husband, James, have a daughter, Kimberly, and a son, Jeremy. Her favorite things are decorating and reading. |

April Sawdey Treatment Coordinator April has been in the field of orthodontics since 1990, and joined the team here in 1997. She loves everything about her job, from the new patient exams, to the consultations, and on through to follow-ups. April thrives in her position and says she could never see herself doing anything else. She especially appreciates the honesty and integrity of the practice, pointing out that the doctors care about delivering the best in treatment and service to their patients and parents. April is originally from Monroe, MI and now lives in Holland, OH with her husband, Randy, and two daughters, Brittney and Lauren. Outside the office, April likes being involved with her church, fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, sports, and being with her family. |

Amy Schoppman Scheduling Coordinator Amy loves watching the beautiful smiles emerge! Since 2004, Amy has been greeting patients, fulfilling patients' scheduling needs, and assisting with general office duties. She especially has fun working closely with the patients and their families, and working for wonderful doctors who care deeply about their patients. Amy and her husband, Cliff, live in Toledo, OH with their children, Joel, Devon, Jaiden, and Riley. With her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, cheering for her kids at their sporting events, being in the "great outdoors," water sports, volunteering at church, reading, and watching movies. |

Deana Butler Scheduling Coordinator/Treatment Coordinator Deana has worked for the practice since 1989 where she enjoys playing a role in creating beautiful smiles. She juggles a variety of challenging tasks in the office, including scheduling patients, treatment coordinating, managing the Incentive Program, and designing contests — with The Perfect Smile contest being her favorite "baby"! Interacting with patients, doctors, and staff keeps her charged up and she appreciates how the doctors and staff all come together to form a successful team. Deana is a Texas native who moved to Ohio in 1974. She lives with her husband, Carl, and two sons, Tyler and Logan. Fall, winter, and spring activities include reading and Boy Scouts while in the summer, she can be found organizing activities at Bayview Yacht Club or relaxing onboard Shaken Not Stirred. |

Harry Neumann Certified Dental Technician Harry runs the in-house laboratory. He's been working in orthodontics since 1996, and has worked for Drs. Simon, Haerian, and Ludwig just as long. He enjoys orthodontics because he likes seeing the end results and is especially proud to be part of this talented and intelligent team. His favorite thing about working here is being around all the lovely ladies in the office! Harry has two sons, two granddaughters, and three grandsons. He lives in the country and spends his leisure time reading, fishing, and biking. |

Judy Galliers Financial Administrator Judy has been with the team since 1993, helping patients with finances and insurance. Working with doctors who really care about giving patients the best care possible, and working with friendly co-workers and patients is important and gratifying to Judy. Her favorite thing about orthodontics is helping people feel better about their smiles and themselves. Judy lives in Sylvania, OH with her husband of thirty-seven years, Jim. They have two daughters, Amy and Alisa, four adorable grandchildren, and one grand-dog. When she's not spending time at their cottage on Winuna Lake, IN, Judy enjoys kayaking, bicycling, walking, and having fun with her grandchildren. |

Kathi Frankowski Treatment Coordinator Kathi entered orthodontics in 1980, and came to Sylvania & Lambertville Orthodontics in 1995. Her favorite thing about orthodontics is that it's never boring. She says there is always something new and exciting with braces. Being in a high-tech practice with a fun team is a special part of her experience. Because she works closely with new patients on their first visit, she likes the part of her job when she gets to see the smiles after patients are finished with treatment. Kathi enjoys reading, crocheting, walking, gardening, and wine tasting. She lives with her husband, Cliff, in Sylvania, OH. |

Sue Frye Scheduling Coordinator Sue joined the team in 1995 and helps patients by answering their questions and scheduling their appointments. She’s proud to work for doctors who do everything first class, and enjoys seeing patients’ faces after they get their braces off. She loves orthodontics because it gives people beautiful smiles. Sue and her husband, Larry, live in Blissfield, MI. They have two grown children, Andre and Lana. For fun, Sue likes to golf, knit, and quilt. |

Wendy DeBord Public Relations Coordinator Wendy joined the team in 1995 and as the PR person, she makes sure communication between our practice and the general dentists in our area is constantly flowing. Keeping the lines of communication open between patients, parents, and staff is also a top priority. Sitting down with patients after treatment is finished and looking at before and after pictures with them is one of the most rewarding aspects of her job. She loves working with a team of doctors who are highly skilled and personable. Having exceptional staff members that she considers good friends is an added bonus. (She is also literally "the voice" of the office since she is the prerecorded voice patients hear when HouseCalls leaves them a message about their upcoming appointment.) Wendy is a Reiki Master who also enjoys reading, writing, walking and talking — especially talking! She has three married children, Zachary, Jessica, and Gabriel, and two grandchildren, Isabella and Madeleine. |
